The Machina planning board, out of focus behind the headline.

Machina

ERP for subcontract manufacturers. From quote to delivery.

Planning

Give a delivery date you can meet.

Try a new order before you accept it. See whether it fits and how other delivery dates are affected, without changing the shop’s schedule. The proposed schedule is recalculated when conditions change.

A planning board for machines, labelled what-if. A service window and an operation sit dashed rather than committed — the shop’s schedule is unchanged.

Example: An additional order is tested before the customer receives a delivery commitment.

  • An existing order passes its promised date.
  • Another is pushed back but is still delivered on time.
  • The new order fits into the plan.
FIG 0.1 — The critical chain: one order occupies a machine, which pushes a queue, which pushes the promise date.

Quoting

See the margin as you set the price.

Material, labour time and machine time provide an estimated cost. You see the margin on each quote line and for the whole quote. When the customer accepts, the quote becomes a sales order with its cost estimate retained.

Quote lines with estimated cost and margin. One line has a margin warning before sending.

Set your margin floor to, for example, 25 %, and see which quote lines fall below it before you send. You can still send.

Follow-up

See where improvements matter most.

Track scrap by damage type and part. See what recurs and which parts account for the highest estimated scrap cost. Choose where to start improving.

Recorded scrap events grouped by damage type, with the most frequent at the top.

The whole shop

One system for the whole shop.

Quotes, orders, planning, shop-floor reporting, purchasing and stock are connected. Drawings and material certificates are at hand. Deliveries provide the basis for invoicing in Visma, with Fortnox as the next step.

From delivery to draft invoice

Customer details are transferred and the delivery becomes a draft invoice in the accounting system. You review and send the invoice there. Visma first, Fortnox next.

A part’s document list with drawings.

Drawings and material certificates

Drawings belong to the part. Material certificates belong to the material instead, at purchase and goods receipt. The part reaches every certificate through the materials in its manufacture. Sales orders and purchase orders have their own documents too. Documents are stored within the EU.

Today’s operations with reported time and quantity, and an operation in progress with a running timer.

Report at the machine

The operator reports labour time and quantity against their operation. Shared screens use personal PINs and restricted access.

A traceability tree: one purchased material lot followed through manufacturing orders to delivery and stock.

Traceability, backward and forward

Follow the material lot from purchase to delivery. Trace a delivered part back to its material.

A list of purchase orders: supplier and status, with some partially received.

Purchasing and goods receipt

Track purchase orders and expected deliveries. Record received material, partial deliveries and material certificates.

A stock overview with part, description and mode: bars measured in millimetres, rings counted in pieces.

Stock by location and lot

See how much is at each stock location and which lot the material belongs to.

Import

Bring what you have built.

Parts, open orders, stock balances and history come across, with their relationships intact. The data is checked before it is imported. You can undo the import.
